Zero Tolerance Automatic Knives
Kershaw Goes Automatic

Kershaw knives have been around for a long time. For much of their existence, they have been producing top quality spring assisted knives and manual folders. Just a few years ago, they finally entered the automatic knife market with their brand name Zero Tolerance. They entered the market with a bang. They make a few different auto knives right now. My favorite is the Zero Tolerance 650ST Automatic Folder Knife (Black SER Drop Point Blade). This high quality automatic knife has a 154CM stainless steel blade with a Tungsten DLC (diamond like coating) blade that gives it a great tactical look and all the strength you need out of a combat automatic knife. The handle has a G-10 overlay that gives you a really nice grip. My favorite thing about this knife is the shape and strength of the blade. It seems to do everything I want to be able to do with a knife.

Spyderco Knives
Citadel Automatic Knife

The Citadel auto knife by Spyderco is one of my favorite automatic knives for a couple of reasons. First, I like it because it looks good. Spyderco has some really good designs and some others that I don't love. The Citadel auto is classic in its shape and lines. Second, I love the handle. It is solid and has really good "traction". Meaning, you can hold on to it when it matters most. Finally, I love the blade shape. Of course, it is made of some of the best materials around, like all Spyderco knives. But those are the main reasons I love the Citadel.

Pro-Tech Runt J4, Satin Plain Blade, Ivory Micarta/Black Handle
ProTech Model # PT4451

The ProTech Runt is one of the best little automatic knives you can find on the market right now. This production model is the 4th installment of the Runt series. Each of the four available styles are fantastic. I especially like the J4's because of their shape and the blade style. This model comes with the "tuxedo" look of black aluminum handles with ivory colored micarta inlayed on the handles. I think ProTech automatic knives are one of the top 3 production knives currently available for two reasons. The first is what I call the "fit and finsish". These knives are meticulously put together so the seams and all the little touches are just perfect. You buy a ProTech knife and you know you are buying craftmanship. Second, I love the springs in these auto knives. They all open fast and lock up tight. Get the Runt J4 or any other ProTech automatic knife and you know you are buying quality.
