Automated List Builder? Me? The thing I most hate about email lists is setting them up. I admit it. Auto-responder installation and administration is dull. It's boring. It wasn't so long ago that I didn't even know what an auto-responder was and I'm almost sorry I learned. But here I am fiddling around with a list building product. Why?
Good question.
I received an evaluation copy of this product and my opinion has started to change. Not a religious conversion, mind you. But things are looking much better. I'll get into why, but first let's look at what this thing is.
The product
1. Three brutally effective list building programs:
- Gate Crasher
- Page Masker
- The Enforcer
2. 10 easy to follow Camtasia training videos
3. Ultimate List Builder's Companion ebook (PDF)-Simple thorough A-to-Z instructions on list building and how to use the programs.
4. Blueprint (mindmap)
5. Rolodexes
6. Email swipe files
No doubt, there will be some pleasant surprise benefits along the way, too. That's the way good selling online works. I predict the promotional material itself will be quite instructive.
The pros
The most important advantage is simple automation of a complex boring task. It's not your fault if you haven't mastered auto-responders and email lists. There is a lot of technical stuff to do. I know my own eyes glaze over with when I see code and instruction manuals.
Can you imagine being able to do the following just as easily as pushing a button or doing copy/paste? Chris claims you can.
- Squeeze pages
- Opt-in boxes
- Collect names and email addresses
- Organize lists
- Find niches
- Increase opt-in conversions
- Increase new subscriber confirmations
- Design drop downs
- Auto-responder campaigns
- Test results
This would be a dream come true, but I saw it. It's not a dream. You can do that. That's not all he claims, either. Chris's product can also blast your conversion rate up by 60% or better and easily help you build an email list of thousands, if not tens or hundreds of thousands. From what I saw I believe it. You will have to drive traffic to your site and offer good stuff, but if you do that, I have no doubt you will get massive opt-ins.
You see, Chris didn't tell anyone what he is really doing yet. He has a few breakthrough innovations about how to do all this stuff-from setup to the actual list-building processes. He makes it simple and quick to boot.
Newbies can learn it easily. It's about as hard as learning how to sign up for a Web 2.0 site. I know experts will welcome the "1-2-3 and you're done" automation.
I don't want to spoil the surprise yet, but I can assure you that these innovations will blow you away as much as they did me. I honestly think the history of email marketing will be divided into before and after Chris's product.
The cons
The biggest complaint I have about Automated List Builder is that it is not sexy. If you ever suspected that auto-responders and email lists were hard and boring for everyone, I can confirm that they are, at least as far as I am concerned.
But I can also confirm that I can and will use Chris Freville's product as a permanent cornerstone of my own marketing tools. This thing takes a great weight off my shoulders. Since it was also designed to drastically increase sales, not just simplify list-building, all that extra money coming in will probably make it unboring and a lot of fun.
(That's mercenary and a lame excuse, I know, but I'm only human...)
There is another con, but this depends on your personal convictions. The power of the three software programs makes a devastating impact on visitors. It literally leads them gently through the sign-up process and makes them want to be led. You have to see this. They will not grudgingly jump through hoops, but actually want to be on your list. I think that's cool, but some people think that much influence over people is not a good thing.
Final thoughts
I really look forward to using what the gurus will be using. The time for them to be hogging all the good stuff is coming to an end.
I suggest you check out Automated List Builder. At least look at it. If you are marketing online, you need a list-builder anyway, so check it out. Launch date is July 15, 2008. You might decide that this thing is not for you, but I know I will be using it.
