All About Autumn Fairies...

Autumn fairies are those of mist and leaf, harvest and berries. Autumn is associated with the element of water and consequently it is a good time to work with water elementals, or undines, now.

The Autumn Equinox is a good time to seek out fairies, because the veil between our world and the Otherworld is said to be at its thinnest. In days gone by, country people would have sought the help of the fair folk with preserving their stores for winter, and harvesting the berries from the hedgerows. Some Celtic countries still have a taboo about picking and eating blackberries, because they belong to the fairies.

Fairies associated with this time are Queen Mab, the acorn fairy, and the fairies of autumn flowers, such as the Dogwood fairy, Michaelmas Daisy fairy, Crab-Apple, Nightshade, Rose Hip, Sloe and Hawthorn.
