Avanti Wine Refrigerator - The Pros and Cons!

Red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot are best at about 63 to 65 degrees.

Lighter reds, such as Beaujolais, 54 degrees best suits the wine.

White wines such as Chardonnay or Viognier will have a much fuller flavor when served at 53 to 55 degrees.

White wines such as Sauvignon Blancs are best enjoyed a little colder than Chardonnay - about 48 degrees should be about right

It is unfortunate that many restaurants serve white wines to cold and red wines to warm!

At the end of the day, the only thing that is important is that YOU enjoy the wine. Serve it at the temperature that you believe gives the best flavor.

Maintaining the correct environment is essential if you are going to store your wines for an extended period of time. The desirable environment is a temperature range of 55-58° F and between 55% to 75% humidity.

Drink and enjoy

I have spend many, MANY hours pouring over facts and figures and customer reviews on Avanti wine refrigerators. Unfortunately, two factors stood out over almost all models.

These products are often not well packaged. Overall, there seemed to be more complaints about damage in transit that one would expect.

Avanti do not have the best reputation amongst consumers when it comes to customer support and back up. Whilst I was researching information on the various models I found many complaints on Avanti's customer relations.

To keep it in perspective, these complaints were over tens of thousands of sales and people are always more ready to complain that hand out bouquets. Still, I was left with the feeling that they have a little to learn about customer relationships!

Just be aware that there is a downside that goes with their wonderful prices.
