Lord of Twilight

This is part one of the orbs of magic series. Here's some tips and a Aveyond 3 guide you might just need to finish the game!

This assumes you've already purchased the game. If you haven't, here is a link to the cheapest website with it. You can buy the full version for only $6.99.

Gates of Night

The sequel to this game. The page you're reading right now is only about the "Lord of Twilight", so unless you need some help in the early parts of the game, it's not very helpful.

If you haven't gotten this game yet, it's also available from the same site at the cheapest price on the internet. Click here to learn more about Aveyond 3 Gates of Night.

Games like this one

There's a similar RPG called Deadly Sin. I haven't bought this one yet, but it seemed interesting. 30 hours of gameplay! It plays the same way, but the combat system is a lot more advanced than what it's in the Aveyond series. That's a screenshot of the game to the right. You can see more from the game's gallery, download a free demo, and read the story on the official website.

Eternal Eden is a fun game which I enjoyed. This rpg is very popular with other people who liked the Aveyond series. Tons of puzzles, around 20 hours to finish and a story with loveable characters too. You can find out more about Eternal Eden & grab the free demo on its website. The developer won't be listing it with any of the big download sites, so don't save up your club credits waiting for EE.

Last up is a rpg called 3 stars of destiny. It's made by the same developer as Laxius Force and more kid friendly. If you liked the first game, you'll probably like 3 stars too. The same heroes from Laxius Force (in a prequel) try to stop an invasion of evil orcs. Click here if you want to play the free demo.

Basic gameplay advice

Lord of Twilight is like other games in the series. Any hints that applied to them will also work in this one! You can avoid monsters on the map if you dash past them. Great strategy against wild chickens.

  • Look around the maps for secret treasure chests! If it's a "wrong way" you can go, there's almost always some sort of reward for exploring more of Aveyond 3: Lord of Twilight. Most Aveyond 3 walkthroughs will skim over these rewards, and they're fun to find! Of course... you might also wander into monsters you can't deal with yet. Be careful adventuring :)

  • Little money bags are on the ground! Pick them up and you'll find some gold inside. Someone sure has been losing a lot of purses!

  • Found old bread in a dungeon chest that's probably been sitting there for years? This is a magical world, one where it'll never go stale and even cooked chicken legs are still fresh years later. Eating those will heal up your characters.

  • Secret Aveyond goodie caves have all kinds of useful items, but they're pretty much like cheating. One will level you instantly, another has hundreds of thousands of gold pennies, all the best weapons like the Sun Diamond, etc.

  • Having trouble defeating some Skeleton Guards and their Skeleton Guard Leader outside Ghedare? Galahad getting beaten up too easily? Try using Tei'jal the vampire's drain skill on them. Take out the leader first as he hits harder.

  • Your team characters have several skills that can disable enemies. Use them in difficult battles! For example, Mel's Trip can cause someone to lose their turn.

Walkthrough

Links are down below to guides if you need more help. There's already a few written, so here's just a few answers to common questions:

Eggs - Bring them to Moo Hatchery before you use them! I don't know if you can still hatch more later, but don't take the chance.

Death Certificate - Found in Aveyond 3-2: Gates of Night.

Blue Treasure Chests - Can't be opened yet. Try to remember where they are! The "key" is in gate.

Goodie Caves - They're like cheating! Do you really need to know where they are? I've posted a link farther down, but please try to play the game without them first if you really want to enjoy it.

Shovel Dig Spots - Can't be found in an aveyond 3 walkthrough. We get lots of searches for this & lord of twilight, but it's also in the next part.

Attraction Points - Next game. This decides Edward's future wife, pick carefully!

Pirate Quest - Next game. Starting to see a pattern here? :)

Blind Man - Check the shops for eye drops!

Ice Skating - Stormwind. Short puzzle at the spy academy.

Climbing - Gheledon. The spy place there gives you it.

Boss Battles - There are a couple battles where you have to stay alive for a round or four. Don't worry about trying to deal damage, that's why you have defend.

Thanks Victoria Oster for the correction :)

Eternal Eden game
I already mentioned it above, but if you liked this game, you'll probably love this one too. I know I did!

Walkthrough guide
I like this one, it's very light on spoilers!

Strategy guide
Maps, item lists, and quest spoilers. I don't recommend it unless you absolutely need one, because it costs a bit of money. This Aveyond 3 walkthrough was written by the game developers themselves.
