As a child Alexander keenly watched his father, an artist of many years,
creating watercolour paintings. Perhaps this was the catalyst that saw him
experimenting with his own art throughout his childhood and into his teens.

Today, twenty years later and as a professional artist, Alexander creates
and sells his original acrylic paintings and drawings to an international
audience, including collectors in the UK, USA, Japan, Australia, Belgium,
Holland, France, Germany, Italy and Canada, to name but a few.

Within Alexander's portfolio can be found a diverse selection of original art
ranging from landscapes, urban, wild and domestic animals, portraiture,
maritime, abstractions and of course, Alexander's specialty, vintage aviation.

Each of his unique pieces display his trademark study of lighting
and the atmospheric effects it creates on the given subject matter; this is
especially apparent with his pencil studies. It is these qualities, along with
bold use of colour and ability to master a large range of subjects, that have
given Alexander international acclaim.

As a life-long aviation enthusiast, Alexander's assures his World War 2
pieces are meticulously researched, each one being based on authentic
events, aircraft and pilots of the era. A number of his drawings and paintings
adorn the jackets of aviation publications. He is also proud to have authored
a novel depicting the life of an American bomber crew during 1944. This
was a labour-of-love, achieved only after hundreds of veteran interviews and
an actual flight on his favourite aircraft, the B-17 Flying Fortress.
