Of all the books I've read and reviewed on my blog last year, I would say When You Reach Me, by Rebecca Stead, or Slob, by Ellen Potter are among my favorites. I also love Stargirl, by Jerry Spinelli. Okay, I'll stop.

- You can't go wrong with a Mo Willems book. I anxiously await the new Pigeon book that is due out in April. Willems should have won the Geisel award... who cares that he's either won it or been an honorable mention like four times already! However, I was disappointed that ABA chose Children Make Terrible Pets for the E.B. White. The book makes for a terrible read.

- Wow, what a beautifully presented collection of the best children's books. Also, nice to learn a little about the different types of awards that are given. Blessed.

- Both of my favorite children's books were published a long time ago - The Little Prince by Saint Euxpery and The Water Babies by Kingsley. I have just published a children's book The Leopard and The Mouse, which I believe will become a favourite with children all over the world! http://www.squidoo.com/the-leopard-and-the-mouse

- I love that "We Are in a Book" received an Honorable mention. (Though truthfully I think Mo Willems should win every year.) I think it is the only Gerald and Piggie book I haven't figured out how to act out for storytime.

- Great lens! These children's books are great; I'll read them to my kids when I settle down and start a family... Though by that time, new books will probably take their place...
