Importance of Educating Yourself About Toxins, Free Radicals and Antioxidants

Educating yourself properly about toxins and their effects is extremely important. I am not talking about toxic chemicals that are transported by 18 wheelers, trains or boats.

I am talking about the toxins that are put into our bodies from the medications we take, the water we drink, the food we eat and the very air we breathe.

I have put together some interesting and valuable information to let you know about toxins, free radical damage and what they are doing to your cells and overall health.

You will also be given some information on how to prevent and possibly reverse some damage that has already been done. It is time to learn and time to heal.

Protecting Your Cells Against Free Radical Damage

We all know that DNA is the building blocks of our bodies. This DNA is housed in each of our cells. Healthy cells communicate with each other. This is what keeps us healthy.

The cell membrane can be attacked by free radicals. We already have free radicals in our system but we get more from toxins. Free radicals are cells that attack healthy cells and steal from them leaving a gap in the cell membrane.

This gap stops the cell from properly communicating with other cells. This communication is extremely important because it allows them to know what to do like fight inflammation, for example.

When cells with that particular message (fight inflammation) can't communicate you can see problems like arthritis (Arthritis is an inflammation of the joints). It is a very bad chain reaction that may lead to major problems and severe pain.

Now consider all of the other messages that your cells communicate to each other. Major messages that if not received can lead to other health issues like mental illnesses (Depression, Bi-Polar Disorder and ADD/ADHD), arthritis, asthma and cancers.

More and more studies have been conducted all over the world. These studies show that supplements provide benefits in the maintenance and health of cells.

While granted under ideal circumstances the body is supposed to be able to function properly and also detoxify itself, but because of the additives placed in processed foods, the antibiotics given to animals that are our food supply (both dairy and meats), and the pharmaceuticals that are in the water system now, we are far from dealing with ideal circumstances. This is definitely something that needs to be dealt with.

I feel that it is more than coincidental that we are facing more and more health problems these days. Simply put, we are more prone to health issues because more toxins are being put into our bodies than we are led to believe.

Shocking Research

Slow Poisoning on a Daily Basis

One cannot stress enough the importance of knowing the following information.

Studies and research have proven that the chemicals that are in everything (and I mean everything) may cause some people problems. They certainly cause problems for the fish.

I was reading the press release of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. On April 15, 2008 one of the topics addressed was "Pharmaceuticals in Our Nations Drinking Water".

Concerns were raised regarding pregnant women and children. Why these two groups? One partial reason (and there are others)is because hormone systems that control development are more vulnerable.

It seems the EPA is largely responsible. In 1996 EPA was informed by the Safe Drinking Water Act and the Food Quality Protection Act to develop a program to identify and address certain issues. This has not been done. Why have they not done this?

March 18, 2008 a letter was sent to the EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson from US Senator Barbara Boxer of California who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, and Senator Frank R. Lautenberg of New Jersey who is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Transportation Safety,
Infrastructure Security, and Water Quality regarding these issues and requesting a response before April 4, 2008. Read the letter . You can see the entire press release here. I strongly urge you to go there now . Read the entire press release. You will be as shocked and concerned as I am.

The information that I had provided here has been taken offline. I wonder why they would do such a thing? The following information mainly covered the water situation but you will also get a much broader picture of the toxins from medication as well.

Here are some links for you to check out regarding what I've just told you. This is why we need antioxidants. Everyone should see this and take action to get these toxins out of your system. Make sure you read the last one.

Now that you are a little better informed, you can see the importance of detoxing as I call it. Antioxidants will help to protect your cells by detoxifying your body.

Antioxidants to Stop Cell Damage from Free Radicals - New Formula!

While there are many ways of detoxifying I have found that Thai-Go seems to work extremely well for me. I have been drinking it for about 3 years now. I personally stand behind this seemingly simple combination fruit juice.

It is an excellent source of antioxidants and is all natural. The main ingredient is the pericarp (the rind) of the mangosteen fruit. This is important because the mangosteen fruit alone has more healing properties than any other fruit.

Thai-Go also combines other fruits which have high antioxidant properties. They're not just there to make it taste good or to be used as fillers. These fruits are also quite beneficial to your health in several ways. The ingredients are:

* Mangosteen - (3)
* Wolfberry - (2)(3)
* Sea Buckthorn (3)
* Apple Extract (5)
* Blueberry (3)
* Concord Grape (4)
* Grape Seed (6)
* Grape Skin (7)
* Green Tea (8)
* Red Grape (7)
* Raspberry (3)

I Learned The Hard Way

My Story

Let me share what I've learned through my experiences.

I have been an enthusiast of natural remedies for 20 years now and with good reason. When my youngest daughter was six weeks old I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I was already on prescription medication for clinical depression and high-blood pressure.

I lost the use of both of my hands. My feet were also affected. I couldn't even walk. I waited a week thinking that it would pass and when I couldn't take the pain anymore I went to my doctor. He told me that it would be very likely that I would not have the use of my hands or be able to walk when I was older. He couldn't tell me how soon that would be but he didn't like the way it had affected me so badly already.

Things were looking grim and I was only in my mid twenties. Surgery was a possible option in the future, but that would probably be a long way off. He gave me a prescription and it fixed me right up but it also gave me some major abdominal pain. I couldn't imagine going through that each time I would get an attack.

The side effects from the other medications on top of this one were starting to scare me. The depression medication warned of possible suicidal tendencies plus it affected my memory. The high-blood pressure medication warned of possible heart disease and/or cardiac arrest. Let me see, I might kill myself or one of the medications could possibly kill me. Latch on the severe abdominal pain and memory problems to that and I said no way. I started wondering just what was this medication really doing to me to cause all of this?

I never thought of it from a cellular level before I started to educate myself about all of this, but once I had that knowledge I had to say that is one heck of a lot of cells with communication problems and all because of toxins that I already had in my system that my body had not dealt with and the added toxins from the prescribed medication and not to mention everything added to our food and water.

Well, I started doing some reading. A lot of reading. I learned that herbal remedies and natural cures are a wonderful alternative/additive to prescribed medications. They help to block free radical damage from happening. They actually seem to get to the root of the problem because they help to fix the cells that have been damaged by toxins.

God put all of the herbs in this world for a reason. Many medications are derived from herbs but many scientists got carried away with creating medicines that seem to give a quick fix for some symptoms while taking great risk with other basic functions. It seems like they've forgotten to look at the basics, our cells and how they work and communicate. They aren't looking at what was given to us in nature and are too busy making a name for themselves by creating something new.

While FDA is in no big hurry to do more research and strictly limits what can be said about natural remedies, the rest of the world has had no problems publishing the research that they are eager to do. It is readily available to the public. The studies and research links that are for the ingredients in Thai-Go are only a small percentage of research done around the world.

I am NOT telling you to stop seeing your doctor or just get rid of you prescription medication. You can possibly do yourself more harm by quitting your prescription medication on your own. What I am telling you is to check into natural ways of staying healthy that won't put more toxins into your system. Please give yourself every opportunity to have a full and healthy life.

I started to take supplements and gradually with the monitoring of my doctor I no longer need those medications. I am not saying that this will be the case for everyone. Each person is different and so is the degree of each problem. I suppose I was very fortunate to get to the root of my problem early and I thank the Lord for that every day.

My Experience With Thai-Go

I want to tell you about what I experienced when I first started drinking Thai-Go. I want you to know that when I first started with it I did not do anything different nor did I change my diet in any way. The only thing that I did different was add Thai-Go to my daily life.

First you need to know a few things about me. I have suffered from a variety of stomach problems along with the the other things I mentioned earlier. My doctor informed me that many of my problems were either brought on by or affected by stress and caffeine. I was also diagnosed with having a spastic colon. For those of you who are not familiar with this condition, here's an example of what happens. The muscles surrounding the colon spasm uncontrollably when affected by excessive stress, caffeine, alcohol or tobacco usage. Sometimes the spasms last for a day or more.

I suffered quite a bit during flare-ups. I had to stop drinking carbonated beverages because when the spasms hit, the gas created could not pass. Trust me when I tell you that it gets very painful. You can imagine that if gas cannot pass then nothing else will either. This is toxic and if the body does not get rid of it it poisons you. If this continues for more than three days it can make you ill and can be fatal.

I started reading about what other people had to say about Thai-Go. They all went through a period called a healing period. During this time ( it is different for eveyone) they all seemed to go through a time when they didn't feel to well and then they gradually felt better.

I had my own and here is my story. I took my first dose (1 oz.) sometime in the afternoon. I don't recall exactly what time. Early that evening I started experiencing some discomfort in my lower stomach. I thought it felt like when you get a stomach virus. I didn't think too much of it.

The next morning I got up and took another dose. My husband and I had a tree service back then. I would work with him from time to time. He would cut and I would haul it out. Needless to say I was exhausted on the ride home and the next day I ached everywhere. I was not tired at all on the ride home this time. I took a second dose later that night.

When I woke up the next morning I didn't have a single ache! I couldn't believe it. I took another dose. Well, my stomach seemed to be getting worse. Several days later my husband told me he wanted me to stop drinking the juice. I told him that I wanted to keep drinking it. I wanted to see it through. I am very glad that I did.

My stomach pain started in my lower stomach just above my pelvic bone and slowly worked it's way up. Within two weeks it had gone all the way up to just between my ribs. The funny thing about it was that as it went higher, the pain in the lower parts went away. I had no discomfort after those two weeks. It was then that I decided to try to drink a Dr. Pepper. I had not had anything carbonated in a little over 10 years for fear of the pain it had caused me in the past. To my great pleasure and surprise I thoroughly enjoyed that soda with no pain at all.

I continued to see my doctor because I was on medication for depression and high-blood pressure. He noticed that my blood-pressure was no longer fluctuating and was staying lower. This was something my medication had not been able to do for me before. Truthfully my doctor had not heard of my juice but was informative about the benefits of detoxifiying the body. I came to my own conclusion that Thai-Go was doing me some good. My doctor didn't exactly say that it was helping, but he said it wouldn't hurt me. I continued to drink it.

I would say that it took me about 3 to 4 months and I was able (with monitoring from my doctor) to get off of the medication that I was taking for both depression and high blood pressure. I actually felt better than I had in years. I continued to drink it until money got really tight. After a couple of months my problems seemed to come back. I revised my budget to include my drink and will see to it that I can drink Thai-Go from now on.

You see, it is not a cure-all. What it does do is remove toxins and helps to reduce and/or reverse the damage done to cell membranes which creates health problems. We input those toxins on a daily basis with food and water and it gradually builds up in our systems again. Thus you can see the importance of continuing to detoxify your system. As for me, I am sticking with what worked.

Keep Your Immune System Strong

It is very important to make sure that your immune system is strong. It is not enough to detoxify your body. It is just as important to build up your own immune system as well.

The body needs to function properly. A strong immune system is crucial to your overall health. I know of several other ways of boosting your immune system. Your diet should give you all of the minerals, nutrients and vitamins that you need. More often than not people don't get what their bodies need from their diet.

Supplementation is a very easy way to ensure that we get all that we need for our bodies to function properly. Find out what is best for you by contacting an Herbal Specialist

Understanding How Your Body Detoxifies Itself

Digestion to Elimination

Thai-Go is only one way of detoxifying your body of the accumulation of all the toxins and free radicals. You must take care when beginning any new regimen for your health. Speak to your healthe consultant before beginning anything new. My goal here is to guide you towards better overall health.

Let's get some basic information going for you. First of all your internal organs are your body's means of detoxifying itself. The body is designed to have all of its parts work together. Everything from the simplest breath you take to the most intricate details of how the brain and nervous system work all affect each other. If one part is not working properly, then of course it will definitely affect all of the others. How badly it affects the others depends on many factors. Things like stress, what is consumed each day (water, food, candy, sodas, sugars, etc...), environmental toxins (shampoos, cleaning agents, and pollution from vehicles, etc...), the amount of exercise or lack of and much more will affect all of this. It has a cumulative effect that can go unnoticed until one starts showing symptoms like constipation, pain and inflammation, back and/or body pains, and even more simple things like sore throat.

If you think "Well my liver is acting up" or "My kidneys are giving me problems", then you need to start thinking in terms of "Why?". You see, each organ has it's own job to do. The system works together to keep your body alive. It will adjust to compensate in areas where it is weak. Another words, one organ or body system will pick up the slack of an overworked organ or body system. This is a great thing, but one must not take advantage of it. It can only do this for so long before problems start to arise.

Digestion starts in the mouth. Saliva is produced which washes down the food you are eating and contains enzymes which begin breaking down your food so that it can be digested. NOTE: The body can only digest food when it is in liquid form. Chunks won't fit into the "hairlike" villi which absorb the nutrients for assimilation into the body. They are just too big.

The chewed food then goes into the stomach for further processing for digestion. Here it gets churned up by the outer muscles of the stomach. The enzymes and hydrochloric acid in the stomach do what they have to do in order to continue the process of turning food chunks into liquid form. Only then is it supposed to travel onto the next area which is the small intestines.

When people take antacids for indigestion, this actually forces the food through into the small intestines before it is fully digested forcing the chunks as well as the properly digested portion of food out of the stomach. While relieving the indigestion, it is actually causing harm to the villi which also lines the small intestines.

The next step is elimination. Waste now leaves the small intestines and goes to the colon. Proper hydration, fiber and peristaltic action (muscle action which pushes the waste out of the colon) are all factors which have to work in harmony for this to actually happen.

The liver and kidneys work as filters for the body. The liver is an amazing organ. It determines what is good or not good in the blood. It deals with hormones, toxins and much more, filtering processing them to return to the blood stream to go onto the rest of the body.
