Getting started is easy. In Arizona, divorce cases usually start when one party serves the other and each party prepares to go to court. Not so with Agreement House. Our program starts with a couple who know they want to get a divorce, but don't want to make a mess of the entire affair. They want to keep things quiet, not put more pressure on themselves, their children and their families, keep costs down and generally agree that, although they want to be separated, they don't want to do it as enemies.

This is where we come in. Our first step is D.O.R.A. - Divorce Options Review and Assessment. This step allows both parties to meet with John Zarzynski, experienced divorce attorney and family law specialist, who will tell you everything you need to know about the divorce process. Each AZ divorce case is different, and we don't lump everyone together. You will get specialized treatment for your particular situation, and you will receive answers to your complex legal questions. When the D.O.R.A. is completed, you'll also have a guidebook to help you along the way, and a thorough questionnaire that will outline everything you need to sort out before you can make your AZ divorce a reality.

Many people are intimidated by meeting with lawyers. As a neutral third party, we want you to know that we develop a warm, open environment, allowing both parties to air disputes, bring up issues and then focus on solving problems so that divorce cases can move forward.

Mediation as a solution to solving problems, particularly AZ divorce cases, has been on the rise in recent years. Having a trained mediator, who is also a family law professional, makes the transition from conflict to resolution quick and efficient. We admit that some people can't be helped by mediation. Some conflicts run too deep, and may be marred by spousal abuse, neglect, and other issues that may call for in-court litigation. We encourage all parties to use their best judgment and in some divorce cases, we're not so proud as to recognize that some cases deserve treatment in court.

Still, most couples simply want a resolution to their marital problems and have decided on divorce in Arizona. Our methods focus on creating an environment that allows for communication, getting to the core of the debate and developing a real, actionable solution in as little as one 4 hour session. So far, we've yet to have a mediation that required more than 2 sessions before a final AZ divorce resolution was achieved. Once you are confident that you agree on the critical elements of your AZ divorce, it's time to get it all on paper.

One of the daunting tasks of any AZ divorce case is coming to the agreement of who gets what, and who does what when. The other reason divorcees tend to hire attorneys is the mounds of paperwork that comes next. Saying you'll do something is one thing. Creating legal documents to seal the deal is another story.

Fortunately, Agreement house takes care of all of this for you. After your D.O.R.A. session and your mediation sessions, you have the tools and the decisions to start the AZ divorce paperwork. Using the questionnaire from your D.O.R.A. session, and your agreement from the mediation session, we can begin to put your agreement in writing and focus on details like child custody during the holidays, who gets what when and who will deal with mortgages, car titles, debts and the other trappings of ownership. Our thorough agreement drafting session is called Assisted Divorce, and this is where all of the previous details get hammered out and placed on the proper AZ divorce forms so that we can proceed with filing your divorce case.

Once every detail is the way you both want them, our in house document preparers fill out all of the necessary paperwork. Mr. Zarzynski approves them all, and they are submitted to you for signatures. Your signatures complete your side of the process. Your signed AZ divorce documents will be filed in the proper court, starting your 60 day waiting period and then all you have to do is wait. Once the 60 day period elapses, you may have to attend a brief hearing in court to hear the divorce result, or you can opt to avoid the court date together and you will both be officially divorced and free to act as you please.

Cost: $1437 -$1537 depending on if children are in the divorce and includes court costs.
Time: 2 hours for your part of the Assisted Divorce process and 60 day waiting period for AZ divorces.
