I know one thing for sure... Azumanga Daioh is extremely cute!
This manga/anime is one of the cutest in existence! It follows the lives of six girls as they go through high school. As well as being cute, it is also equal parts bizarre and hilarious!
From left to right in the picture, the main characters are: Yomi the voice of reason who is dissatisfied with her weight despite being good at sports. Osaka the girl who lives in a permanent daydream. Chiyo the girl prodigy who has skipped five grades. Sakaki the much admired shy girl who loves cats even though they always bite her. Kagura the athlete who is a member of the swimming team and joins the others in their second year of high school. Tomo the loud one who is always full of energy, and often says the wrong thing.

A word of advice if you're watching Azumanga Daioh on DVD for the first time...
Make sure you go through the menus before you start, and set it to Japanese audio with English subtitles!The Japanese version is soooo much better than the dubbed version! The Japanese voices are so cute!
Trust me on this! If you try to watch the English version after you've seen the Japanese version you'll want to throw things at the TV! The Japanese version really is that much better!
