The B-Movie During The Golden Age Of Hollywood And Beyond

The B-Movie is the second movie of a double feature that was showing at your movie house or theater. The Golden Age of Hollywood Started around the late 20's up to around the late 50's. Back then and even now in some places it was popular to see two movies when you go to the movies. During the Golden Age of Hollywood they would have the first high budget movie as the feature with a second movie that was cheaper to make and these were the B-Movies. The most popular B-Movie was the westerns, Sci-fi and horror gained popularity in the 50's.

I was not old enough to have enjoy that time matter of fact I was not born during the Golden Age of Hollywood, the early 60's for me. I am one of many who like to watch one of these low budgeted movies. Sometimes to have a laugh or see if I can see a mistake in the movie. Some of them are not that bad and I like finding one that I enjoyed watching. The most recent one that I found that I like is the one called "The Earth Dies Screaming". Now some of these and other B-movies may not be good to you and that is alright. Watch these knowing where they came from "low budget". Watch these with a sense of fun.

I will be adding movies as I get them together. This lens will get long, that is why I have them numbered so you can remember which ones you've watch.

There is a guestbook for you to put your reasons why you like or dislike B-Movies. Thanks for stopping by.

You may want to watch the movie first to make sure it is alright for your children to see. I did mark some that I though were not for children.

So cool. I love B movies. My mom loved them too, so I was quite used to watching them growing up. I even remember watching Attack of the Giant Leeches when I was pretty young.

* I did enjoy watching this movie and in knowing it is a low budget movie. The aliens in this movie look and acted funny but it did not take away from the acting that I thought was pretty good. This move is just over an hour long. The story line keeps you watching.*
