Baby Jogger the three-wheeled baby stroller

Ranked #7,140 in Parenting & Kids, #245,310 overall

The Baby Jogger Company has been the first to manufacture the three-wheeled baby stroller, and has been the market leader ever since its inception. Phil Baechler, a journalist founded this Company in 1984.

Phil wanted to spend time with his infant whilst indulging in his favorite pastime ' jogging; when he realized that the carriers could not endure the stress of being rolled on various surfaces. This inspired him to design the first three wheeled stroller. Following the popularity of the Jogger, other companies too have started manufacturing three-wheeled strollers.

Baby Jogger Summit XC Single Stroller,

These three-wheeled strollers are designed with a sporty design and are built for use on a variety of surfaces. The three-wheeled stroller outdoes the four-wheeled pram in its ease of maneuverability and compact storage capabilities. Joggers come with different wheel sizes for different of activities. The 12' wheel joggers are ideal for roads, pavements and malls. The swivel wheels allow easy mobility in crowded places. For those who walk, jog and trek with their babies, the 16' wheel jogger is ideal. These are operational on grass and sand and at the same time are small and compact enough to fit in the trunk of a car. Slightly bigger, is the 20' wheel jogger, which acts as a better shock absorber than its smaller counterparts. With emphasis on convenience, joggers have been enhanced with washable seats, canopy fabric, comfortable cushions and adjustable features allowing it to be folded for easy storage when not in use.

* The front swivel wheel is a huge help when navigating around the park or stores.
* The ability to lock it into place while jogging is great too.
* It is easy to control one handed
* The tether strap and hand break add safety
* The stroller folds very small for a jogger (smaller than my travel system stroller)
* The wide wheel base makes for a steady, stable ride
* Shocks allow you to run and baby to be comfortable, it also allows the stroller to go off the pavement (we took ours on an uneven walking path through the woods and it handled the roots and rocks well)
* Very easy to fold
* Pretty big basket under the stroller (compared to other joggers) as well as a mesh storage space behind the seat.
* Reclines for sleeping baby
* Huge canopy covers most of the baby from the sun.
