baby angel tattoos are Cool!

Most people think that babies as angels with wings are actually cherubs or baby angel tattoos . This is not so as in fact cherubs are really high ranking angels as depicted in the Christian Bible and are not babies at all.

They are also mentioning in several other religious books. They often have animal faces.
In fact the baby angels that most people refer to as Cherubs are in fact really Putto or Putti baby angels that are depicted in art.

These winged babies are usually without clothes and they have wings. Sometimes they are in the clouds and sometimes they play music or have a bow and arrow. Or they are playing ofr fighting. They are angelic in appearance. Putti in fact is a word for small boy in Italian and indeed these babies are usually boys.

Because of this this lens will refer only to baby angel tattoos and not to the other definitions.

Baby angel tattoos have grown in popularity over recent years. There can be many reasons for this. However baby angels are usually chosen by women and girls. This maybe because they identify more with baby images due to biological make up or simply because the pictures are really cute. Cute is something that appeals more to women then to men. Here is a perfect example.

Whilst visiting my sister recently she said "take a look at this" and handed me a mustard colored elephant ornament.
It was adorable.
It was cute.
I wanted it.
My reaction was ahhwow how cute! Isn't he cute - you get the picture? My sister laughed. When I asked her why she said that all the women she had shown the elephant to had had the same reaction - and all the men had said Ugh horrible, how ugly!!!
Not exactly a scientific explanation I know, but I am artistic minded not science minded.

As you can see baby angel art has quite a long background, in fact they predate Christianity as there are seen in places like the Torah. They are seen as many different things by many people. If you are interested in religion then they will have a religious meaning or symbolism for you.
If you are interested in great artists then they will be a great tribute to that artists work.
They can be just a fun, cute picture that you love or they can also be a form of guardian protecting and watching over you.
