Baby Eczema Treatment Solutions

Your baby's skin should be soft and full of moisture. But, when babies suffer from eczema, portions of their skin become very dry, patchy and red. Therefore, it is important that their skin is moisturized often. After bathing your baby, moisturizing your baby's skin with natural aloe vera lotion several times a day can significantly relief the pain and redness eczema causes. It can also temporarily relieve the itching and irritation that is associated with eczema.

Making sure your baby receives an efficient amount of liquids internally is also important. Interestingly, babies who are breastfed experience milder and less bouts of eczema.

An oatmeal bath is an excellent way to relieve itching and accelerate healing of the skin. After you have grounded the oatmeal to a fine powder, add the powder to warm running water only, and stir thoroughly. Soak your baby in the oatmeal bath for about 15 minutes and then rinse the mixture off completely. Once you towel dry your baby, moisturize the skin with the aloe vera, or other forms of natural moisturizers like Vaseline.

Scented laundry detergents can be the culprit for aggravating your baby's eczema, especially if your baby is experiencing other forms of allergies. Changing your present laundry detergent to a non-allergenic or non-scented detergent may help reduce the outbreak of eczema, and even reduce other allergies.
