Celebrating Your Baby Girl's First Birthday

You're going to have so many milestones throughout the years and your little girl's first birthday is only the beginning.

But that doesn't mean it's not important. It is! It's just that some parents go overboard and end up disappointed at the end of the day.

Go ahead and plan your party but remember - your child will have very little to do with it. She's only one year old. She may play with her Baby Cake but don't expect her to blow out candles or join in the singing. She's not going to be excited by presents or guests.

In fact, if you have a huge party, don't be surprised if she gets fussy or upset by all the noise!

If you want your baby to remember her first birthday then you're going to have to take plenty of pictures and show them to her in a few years. In the meantime, relax, and have fun.

Baby Girl's 1st Birthday High Chair Decoration Kit 2pc

Your baby girl is going to spend most of her first birthday sitting in her high chair digging into that Baby Cake.

Why not start off the party by decorating her chair so you can get some cute pictures before she tears into the cake?

Back when my kids were little we covered the floor with old newspapers and had a baby bathtub on standby on the counter!

At least, with this cute high chair decor, you'll be able to get some beautiful pictures before everything gets covered in icing and cake!

Planning Your Baby Girl's First Birthday Party

Of course your baby girl's first birthday is important - to you. She doesn't even realize what's going on. And she's not going to remember a single thing that happens at her party. Not ever.

Typically, the baby's first birthday party is a low-key event, including the immediate family and maybe a few close friends. Most parents save the big, more expensive theme parties for later one, when the child is old enough to appreciate and remember the day. In fact, some etiquette experts even recommend a quiet affair for baby's first birthday.

It's traditional to serve a Baby Cake or Play Cake - a small cake made just for the baby. It's usually piled high with lots of fluffy icing so the baby can have fun and make a real mess!

Other than that, most parents just make sure to get plenty of pictures on this momentous occasion. So albums are always a welcome gift.

Invite a few close friends and family members and share some cake and ice cream. You'll have plenty of time for a big blow-out bash in a few years!

When is your baby girl's 1st birthday?

You are so very right that often a 1st birthday party can be tiring on a young 1 year old girl. I think most 1 year olds just want to play a little, nap a little, and examine the new toys that are being passed in their direction. (The cardboard box is pretty enticing to a one year old too lol).

Arthur you already put the smiles in your little baby girl's 1st birthday party...she will have little to do with it but we really do this for ourselves, the smiles and the memories as she plays with her cake....sweetness and pretty in pink! I can tell you've been there with your counsel to remember that she may even get a little fussy with all the action.
