Baby Girl Names starting with S

Ranked #6,852 in Parenting & Kids, #234,060 overall

We have decided to name any baby girl(s) we have with a name starting with "S". It started because I had decided a long time ago (in high school) that I wanted my first daughter's name to begin with "S". The reason this was important to me is because my name starts with an S-Sabrina, as well as my mom's-Sylvia, my maternal grandmother's-Shirley, and my late great-grandmother-Savannah. Even though none of this was intentional I thought it would be nice to continue the tradition.

Now that I've had my first daughter and successfully given her an S name I want to give any more daughters I have an S name also.

So comes the lens. My goal here is just to list possible girl names beginning with S in order to organize them all in one area, and maybe to let people vote!

Note: I am focusing on western names here just to keep the lists manageable. I will be updating this page often for the next couple weeks and constantly adding more names so check back often. Also make sure to make your suggestions and vote for your favorites below!!

Baby Boys Names Starting with D
You may have seen my 'Baby Girl Names Starting with S' lens....this is essentially the same thing but for boy names starting with D. We decided since we are naming all girls with the same first letter as my name we would name any boys we have with the same first letter as my husband's name (Dustin).

My daughter's name is Sarah. When I was pregnant in 1971 people thought that was odd and old fashioned. Then everyone started using the name! But I still love it. ***** to an interesting theme.

I always liked the name Sophia which is Greek and I think means wisdom. If I had a baby girl I think I would consider this name. Nice lens. *****
