Head and Toes Baby Gift Set- Knit Pattern

designed by Marlene Sigel

Head and Toes Baby Gift SetFrom Marlene Sigel:
This set can be made in a wide variety of worsted weight yarn. As pictured, it's made using two colors of Red Heart - one solid and one multicolor. The two skeins will easily make all three pieces with ample yarn left over.

Try reversing the colors and making another set!

Both hats-the Rolled Brim Hat and the Pom Pom Hat- as well as the Booties are knit on straight needles and seamed. Pattern includes directions for hats in three sizes; the one-size booties have an I-cord tie woven through simple eyelets knit into the booties. Size 7 double-pointed needles are used for making the I-cord tie.

This pattern is suitable for newer as well as more experienced knitters.

Pink Ruffles Baby Hat- Crochet Pattern

designed by Henya Kazatchkov

Pink Ruffles Baby HatFrom Henya Kazatchkov:
Ever since my youngest daughter was born I am on the "pink kick". The little darling has at least three pink hats, here is one more. This hat is actually a nostalgic item. I think every Russian kid had a similar one when I was growing up. I have a photo of me wearing just such a hat. This hat is also very practical. Because the linked stitches create more windproof fabric than the usual Double Crochet.
