Baby Pillow
There are a multitude of different types of baby pillow on the market today. All of them has a unique function, and there are some that you will be glad that you have! There are pillows for all different things, including nursing, sleeping, and riding in the car.
I really like the pillows for the bassinette which are positioned on both side of the baby while they sleep. These types of baby pillows position baby so that he or she is flat on their back, which is what is recommended. These are great baby pillows, but there is a new version that I think is even better. The new version of this pillow has memory foam which will mold to the shape of baby's head, making it mold to the pillow The memory foam will help to prevent a flat area from forming on baby's head. This pillow will also help baby to have a peaceful night of sleep because they will not be able to roll around... they are positioned in one way all night.
Another type of pillow that is on the market today is called a nursing pillow. These pillows are crescent shaping and come in handy for all sorts of things...not just nursing. I have found that they are great for supporting baby to view books, bottle feed, or be held, in addition to being great for nursing. These pillows are great for many things, and every mom should have one, whether they are nursing or not.
Car pillows are great to support baby's head while riding in a car seat. They are great for the baby to lean their head on for extra support, especially because they will most likely fall asleep. I like the fact that they keep baby's head away from the plastic on the car seat. Many car seats include some type of pillow, but I like to pick out my own. The ones included with the seat just are not quite as cushy as one that you can pick out yourself.
Baby pillows are great for so many uses. They can be used for many tasks, from support when feeding to riding in the car. Some of them are a bit pricy, but they are worth every penny, especially if you buy them for your first baby and use them several times thereafter.
