Learn to Sign with your Baby.

Baby sign language provides you with a way to communicate with your child before they can talk. Babies can learn to sign as early as seven months long before your baby has learned to talk. Numerous benefits have been associated with baby sign language including stimulating brain development, increased bonding, reduced tantrums to name a few. My niece was taught baby sign language from an early age by her mother who was a teacher. She was able to sign basic requests for food and drink including whether she wanted more or had finished long before she could speak these requests.

Below is a list of great resources for those of you interested in teaching baby sign language to your child.

We taught the basics like 'all done', 'more' and 'milk'. It does work.

Great lens! Baby sign really works. Both my kids had great success with it. My son had over 100 signs as he started to speak more. My daughter made up her first joke in baby sign. She would tell it over and over again and giggle each time. She has quite the sense of humour now. Thanks so much for taking the time to put this together.

    Take care.
