Good Ideas for Using Baby Shower Poems

I don't know about you but I sometimes have difficulty finding the words to reply to invitations or for those "thank you" letters. So I was delighted when I stumbled on the idea of using poems for these types of letters.

I like to compose my own poems whenever I can, but that's not always possible. Sometimes I'm not in the mood, or I don't have enough time. (You know what it's like when you have to clean the house and chauffeur the kids around. And that's before you've prepared any meals).

So when I'm short on time I copy a poem out of this great book I found on Amazon called: For Your Baby Shower. It's packed full of poems for every part of any baby shower party. I love it.

What's so great about it is that I find that just by browsing around I get inspiration for my own efforts.

About now, are you wondering what sort of big head this Marisa Meidle is? Well, I can tell you I was really  nervous the first time I sent off one of my own efforts. But it was well received and I enjoyed writing it. 

Another thing I do is compose poems in the car with the kids. We all say a line out loud and try to get them to rhyme. It's a real laugh sometimes.

I don't say I'm up to the standard of the poems in the book, but I'm having a lot of fun doing my own thing.

But none of it would be possible without the inspiration I get from my copy of Baby Shower Poems.
