"I'm Still Hot...It Just Comes in Flashes now!"

Middle age spread is one issue I never thought I'd have to deal with, but honey let me tell you, it's no joke! The sad thing is I never saw it coming. I mean, how could I?  When I was a teenager I had, what

I thought was, the perfect little shape. My gorgeous legs came from running track and my curvaceous body was the result of being a straddle jumping, cart wheeling, booty shakin' cheerleader.

 B

ut it didn't stop there. My very active lifestyle continued into adulthood with jogging, playing tennis and dancing practically every day and night. I loved to show off my size four figure to men and especially to women.

I looked so good I decided to make a spoof exercise video of myself imitating the exercise fitness queen Denise Austin for a girlfriend who was turning thirty. I hadn't seen her since our years at Ohio University so I was shocked to learn she had gained fifty to seventy-five pounds.  I hesitated to give her the tape but then I thought, "Oh, what the heck! When she sees how good I look maybe it'll encourage her to do something about her fat self."

But you know what? Life has a funny way of coming back around and biting you in the butt.  While I was going around making fun of the chunky girls, I bet God sat back, smiled and waited patiently waited for me to step into middle-age.

So here I am...a woman pushing 50...with hot flashes and all but you know what, I'm still a Diva.  That's right.  I'm Still Hot...It Just Comes in Flashes now!"

Whatever!
