Baby Sweaters
Baby sweaters can be pullover style but are usually cardigan or jacket style; also known as sacques and matinee coats. Pullovers can cause discomfort when pulled over the baby's head so they usually have buttons at the shoulder or back to allow for ease in putting the sweater on. Some have button fronts and some have one button at the neck. Baby sweaters are knit with a special fingering yarn designed for baby clothes and traditionally come in pastel colours, however, brighter colours are becoming more popular. There is a large variety of patterns both plain and lacey and can be decorated with appliques or embroidery. No matter style or colour you choose, a baby will look lovely in a hand made sweater.
