Decisions, decisions...

One of the problems with trying to make money online is the avalanche of opportunities that are constantly turning up to distract internet entrepreneurs from their plans. It seems that once you've decided upon a direction to take, something else appears that seems more promising. There comes a point when one has to put on one's blinders and forge ahead.

I personally have decided once and for all(for now) to build an affiliate marketing business. My mind is made up(I think)!

But if I WAS still looking for a way to make more money, I would give some serious thought to the personalized gift business (sometimes called a custom gift business) that I'm about to describe.

But First... 

The following isn't really what this page is about, but it describes a personalized gift business that I'm aware of.

I have a friend who has a business making personalized gifts. He and his partner are talented people who do great work. They always deliver far more than the customer expects and take a lot of pride in what they do.

The type of product they offer requires a lot of hard work and skill to make. I don't envy the amount of time and effort they have to put into their specific business, but I've seen some of the great letters of appreciation sent in by their customers and the people who received their work as gifts.

I can tell that this is very gratifying for them. Like I mentioned above, the purpose of this lens isn't to plug their business, but I'll do it right here anyway. Their company is called IN TOON PRODUCTIONS(Sorry that I'm not including a link, but I'm afraid that if you click it you might not come back).

People LOVE To Give And Receive Personalized Gifts! 

(but only if they're well-made!)

Making and/or marketing these items can also be personally rewarding.

But what about people who want to get into this kind of business, but who don't have a lot of artistic or creative skill? Do they have to abandon all hope of success?

NOT IF THEY OWN COMPUTERS! 

Every new day introduces something else that USED to require special skills or equipment to create.

Which finally brings me to the cool personalized gift business idea that I found.

 

How about a Baby Newspaper Business? 

New Babies Are Being Born Every Day!

...and there's nothing new parents(and Grandparents!) like to do more than let as many people know about their blessed event as possible.

With a bit of work and some simple software skills, creating a "baby newspaper" which can be distributed to friends and family of a new infant is something just about ANYONE can do.

Actually, you wouldn't be making an ENTIRE newspaper - just a front page. The people who receive these front pages can frame them and put them on their desks or walls. These front pages can even be made in a variety of sizes.

But the best part is that customers will often order MULTIPLE COPIES of these things(and it's only the first one that requires all of the work).

It could be very rewarding to produce something that people would be so happy to receive! 

..and imagine what a relief it would be for people trying to find the right gift when they discover these! A custom gift like this would have saved me a lot of stress if I'd known about it in the past.

Baby births aren't the only events that people like to commemorate!

Use Your Imagination... 

Birthdays, anniversaries, sports victories, scholastic achievements and just about any other major event or accomplishment(or even some minor ones)are opportunities for somebody in the fake newspaper business to make some money.

To Sum Up. 

This seems like a business that has the potential to be a lot of fun and which has potential for expansion over time. It could be particularly rewarding if you're a "people person."

Once again, if I wasn't so focused on my current goals I would even consider making some extra dollars this way.
