1. Start planning about 6 to 8 weeks before the party, reserve the location, plan who to invite, and order the invitations2. Four to six weeks before the shower finalize the guest list, coordinate shower games and prizes, and shop for party favors
3. Three weeks before the shower confirm the reservations, or if holding the shower at a home then begin collecting tables, chairs, and serving items
4. One week before the shower order the cake, arrange transportation for the mother-to-be, and contact invited guests who did not RSVP
5. Two days prior to the shower decorate, confirm the cake order, begin preparing food
6. The day before the shower finish preparing food, finish cleaning the house if it's going to be in a home, select a comfortable chair for the mother-to-be to sit in, and get cameras ready
