Baby Wearing | Baby Carriers | Wearing Your Baby | Baby Slings | Make Your Own Sling
Baby wearing was a given when I was pregnant. I started looking for a sling and I was completely overwhelmed. I had no idea where to start. There were so many different kinds of slings, pouch slings, meitei, backpack, ring sling, padded and unpadded ring slings, and so many different places to get them.
I started wading through all the information and that's how this lens got started.
Hanna finally came and low and behold the sling I had chosen for her, she totally hated. So back to the research we went. I tried a few more slings, and I was started to run out of money! These slings don't come cheap.
I saw a lady at a Le Leche League meeting wearing a simple pouch sling from slinglings. It was so simple and easy, I thought as I looked at it, jeez, I bet I can make one of those.
Then I started looking up patterns and instructions on how to make my own pouch sling. I found a really simple pattern, and even being a very beginning sewer I made a couple really nice pouch slings. In fact I made a couple for friends too!
Turns out, Hanna really likes it too. That makes it really nice. It is so much easier going to the grocery store to just slip her in the sling and be on our merry way. NO more carrying that huge car seat carrier thing. ARGH. She hated that thing.

Hotsling ~ the easiest sling ever
IF you are looking for a simple pouch sling, with no rings, no adjusting, just a simple sling you can pop your baby in and go, the Hotsling is great.
I have had a hotsling and know many other moms who absolutely love them.
They are easy to carry, they just fold up into a tiny piece of cloth. Easy to get baby in, just slide them right in. They also come in a wide variety of colors and I'm sure you'll find one you like!

Great info! Wish I had it when mine was a baby. But also didn't have the world wibe web at my fingertips then either. It's great that this info is more accessible now.
