How To Play Back Up PS3 Games

The old way that people used to play backup games was to have an aftermarket chip installed. Remember that friend you had who always got to play tons of games that wouldn't work on your PlayStation?

Of course this doesn't mean that you have to mess with any settings yourself. You only need to run the installation and the software does the rest by itself.

One last thing that's great about using Homebrew 3 wizard is that you can uninstall it at any time and your system will be back to normal. Try doing that with a hardware hack..

This means that it doesn't void your warranty, which used to be a big problem with hardware hacks since opening your PS3 voids the warranty immediately.

When you uninstall the software it removes all traces as well, just saying.

Okay so this is slightly more complicated than getting your PlayStation to play the games but it could be worth it, Besides, you don't want to lose your games every time someone breaks in or a toddler uses them as frisbees.

Blu-Ray Burner

Unfortunately most PC's don't have these installed yet and they come at a price, but they'll be well worth it once you play your first backed up PS3 game.

Blank Blu-Ray discs

This goes without saying, but you'll need these to burn the games on to.

The Right Software

Because of the copy protection on PS3 games, you'll need software that can read through the codes that prevent you from making backups. I would highly recommend Game Copy Wizard.

What the software does is to get through the protection codes on your game discs.

You really need this because the protection usually prevents you from making a backup, however some discs do allow you to make a backup, but then you can't load the backup onto an empty disc.

Now that you have nothing holding you back anymore you can backup your PlayStation games in a few easy steps.

- Insert the video game disc into your blu-ray burner.

- Launch Game Copy Wizard, run a full scan and create an image of the game disc.

- Insert your blank disc, find the image you just created and burn it onto this disc.

Now you just need to pop it into your PS3 and see if the game backup works!
