Backstreet's Back
The Backstreet Boys, or BSB, is a boy band and pop group that rose to popularity in the late 1990s, and has since broken music and concert sales records, having sold more than 87 million albums (38 million in U.S.) to make them the highest-selling boy band on record. The group consists of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, and A.J. McLean.
Their debut album, Backstreet Boys, was released in 1996. The album debuted at #1 in Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Finland and Austria, and sold over 38 million copies worldwide (14 million copies in the U. S.) setting a record for the most successful debut album in history. In some countries, they've also released a second album, Backstreet's Back. In May 1999, the Backstreet Boys released the album Millennium, which sold over 1.13 million units in its first week, setting a record for most albums sold in the first week of release. (read more)

Backstreet Boys vs. 'Nsync
I just can't stop myself. My room is so dusty that clearly it has invaded my brain and prevented me from making proper decisions about music downloads. Anyone who says 'Nsync was the better band is clearly misinformed. BSB layed the groundwork for 'Nsync to follow.

- I still have the cds that I bought when I was a teenager and sometimes I slip it into the player in the car with my husband, he makes me turn it down when we get to the parking lot. Good memories with this band :)
