Backup Files? Why & How?
Learn how to backup your files on your PC!
What is backup?Backup in simple language is keeping your important data in a safe place. Backup is essential for two main reasons:
1. The first case you will need your backup is once you have a total disaster - like I had. This kind of crash can occur due to various reasons: Hardware failure, virus, water on the laptop, fire, theft and more.
2. The second case you will need your backed up files will be once you lose a specific file by overwriting it or any other human mistakenly action.
If you have a good backup solution you can move on in a few minutes like nothing happened. If not, it will cost you thousands of dollars and your precious time.
Why Backup?
1. Protect your pictures (Family, friends, travels, memories and more).
2. Protect your important files (Financial like MS Money & Quicken, Word, Excel and many more).
3. Protect your MP3 music library.
4. Protect your eBooks, Favorites and more.
My Backup Requirements
A BACKUP solution must live up to the following expectations:
Simple - it is not enough that I will be able to use it; I want my wife, my dad, and my mom to be able to use it and to be safe as well.
Automatic - backing up should be a onetime configuration; all the rest should be automatic.
Cheap - I want to forget about it! I want to remember it only when I need it, this means that I will never stop it because it is too expensive.
Infinite - I don't want to think about what picture I should backup, and which one not, I want my solution to take ALL my important DATA and keep it for a rainy day.
Available - I want my backup to be online. No CD's which are not updated, and I have to look for them somewhere in the house.
Durable - I want my backup to stand out hardware failure, earth quake, fire, water and whatever it takes...
