Choosing The Right Birdhouse For Your Backyard
Although many birds prefer to create their own nests, there are still many different types of birds that will happily create a home in your birdhouse. However not all Bird houses
are the same and it is important to select a birdhouse that is right for your garden and the birds that frequent it. Birdhouses come in a variety of sizes, are made from different materials and have different sized entrance holes.
If you are not looking for a particular species of bird you can choose a conventional or decorative birdhouse for your garden, look for birdhouses that have an entrance hole of between 1 and 2 inches. Certain species however have preferences on the size of the entrance hole and size/type of birdhouse they prefer to nest in.

Wooden birdhouses are a natural environment for your backyard birds. Keep it natural and you will have a lasting home in your backyard. Wooden birdhouses are often not painted and plain because they are appealing to birds, because it looks like the real thing--a hole in a tree. But don't forget the decorative bird houses work just as well and provide an aesthetic appeal to our backyards and gardens.

Place A Blue Bird House In Your Garden
Birds are beautiful creatures that will add charm to any garden. One of the most popular birds is the blue bird. Unfortunately, their number has decreased significantly in the United States within the last decade. The main reason of this decline is the increased use of pesticide, climate change, and reduced tree number. Therefore, if you put a blue bird house in the garden, you are doing a lot of favors for these beautiful birds.

The Bat House Is An Important Addition To Any Garden
Build a Bat House for Mosquito Control
Bat houses
Bat houses attract bats, and bats are a fantastic, natural way to get rid of Mosquitos. It's believed that even a small bat can eat over 1000 mosquitos in one night.
Installing a bat house then is one of the most effective and environmentally friendly ways to reduce the mosquito population near your home.
We highly recommend that you get the largest bat house model you can afford and not just because it costs more. Research by Bat Conservation International has shown that larger the bat house is the greater success it has at being a good home for bats. In most areas north of about 40 degrees N and Canada research shows that bat houses should be painted black or a dark color to maximize solar heating, so you should consider doing that to your house when it arrives (If it isn't black already).

The fastest way to a bird's heart is definitely through their stomach. Where you live determines what you'll see because of differences in birds' range and habitat preferences. As words spread about your feeder, the kinds of birds and the size of crowd will increase. Even if you live in the city where it seems pigeons and house sparrows are the only birds on earth, you'll get surprise visitors that find your food or stop in on migration.

- Spring is coming and the birds will be back soon. I've seen a few. There was a red-bellied woodpecker feeding in my backyard the other day. I haven't seen the robins yet, but they will be arriving soon.
Making them feel welcome with birdhouses and feeders is an excellent idea.
Thanks for sharing
