Backyards Surf, Skate & Snow Shop

Our history: YDNA Surf Skate Sounds was opened in 2003 in Bournemouth town centre. 5 years later the store re-branded as Backyards Surf & Skate shop, giving birth to our website. Since that time, the stores have split into YDNA Boardriders, BackyardsShop.com and the Backyards Boardroom (for surfboards). BackyardsShop.com sell surfboards on behalf on the Boardroom.

Key products: Our aim is to stock everything a skater, surfer or longboarder may need to support their passion. Hardware such as decks, trucks, wheels, bearings, bushings, bolts, tools and so on is the main focus. From time to time we have a range of skate clothing. We also stock skate DVDs and books. Our growing focus is longboards, old school and retro skateboards.

Brands we support: With over 50 brands in stock it's hard to single out just a few! Our best selling skate brands are Independent, Creature, Santa Cruz and Spitfire. We will soon increase our range of YDNA products, a local brand already featured in Sidewalk magazine. We have always supported Lush Longboards and Cult Wheels, both great UK brands producing fresh new longboarding products. In today's climate supporting your local brands and stores is important.

Our customers: Our aim is to have happy customers who can rely on our service and want to come back to us anytime they need a new product. We always give impartial advice when asked, throwing in freebies with orders when we can and offering the best prices. All products have manufacturers warranties. We love to get feedback and suggestions from our customers.
