What would be more fun than watching a movie under the stars in your own backyard? Technology is making it affordable. How you design this outdoor theater is limited only by your imagination.
It can be as simple as a white bed sheet on a taunt clothes line, on your garage door, or a trampoline on edge with a white tarp from Home Depot. You can also buy inflatable screens with speakers, but the cost is pretty high.
I like the adventure of lawn chairs, blankets on the ground and fun! This would make a great birthday party idea or sleep over.What a great way to get to know your neighbors and to become the community we used to grow up in during the 1970's. Start the night with a potluck and get to know your neighbors. Serve microwave popcorn or go all out and get a popcorn machine or a shaved ice machine.
We just got back from the movies and the price of tickets, popcorn and soda for 5 people was pricey. I can buy a lot of DVDs for that.
