Rockycha's No Mess Microwave Cooking Method: It's easy to keep from making a mess in your nuker - I use two chinet heavy duty paper plates. I put a paper towel on the bottom plate, layout my baconstrips, then cover them with another paper towel, then top with the second paper plate to keep them all in place & laying flat. Microwave time between 4 to 6 minutes and zoom! with an easy clean-up!

Rockycha's Own Roasty Bean w/Bacon Soup Recipe

Long awaited, much anticipated, super easy secret recipe for down home goodness in a flash! You'll never buy store-bought canned soup again!
2 cans Navy Beans
1 Onion - Diced
1/2 pound Bacon - crumbled
2 tbls Butter
2 tbls White Flour
32oz Chicken Stock
1 tsp Worchestershire Sauce
Ground Pepper to taste
The whole trick is to fry your smokedbacon in a pan & then save those glorious drippings! After your baconstrips are good & crispy, removed them, then saute your diced or finely chopped onions in that same frying pan, until the onions are tender and translucent. Now use a spatula to scrape up all the little bacony bits & transfer the drippings with your onions to a soup pot. Now you're rollin!
On medium heat, melt your butter into your drippings & then stir in your flour - you're making a roux, a classic base for most soups & sauces. Keep stirring and let that cook together for about 2 minutes, don't worry it may be a little gloppy - that's ok.
Next add a little bit (say 1/2 cup) of your chicken stock to stir that roux into a smooth sauce - turn the heat down to low so it doesn't thicken so quickly. Then you'll add 1/2 cup of your navy beans to the pan & Smash them! This will further thicken your sauce into a taste treat of bean flavored paradise. Now you're ready to add the rest of the beans, chicken stock, worchestershire sauce and all your luscious crumbly baconbits. Simmer the soup for 30 minutes (usually I can't wait & dig right in) Feel free to add 1/2 cup milk or cream if you like a lighter taste.
