Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment - Is There A Natural Treatment for Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment
Are you feeling Embarassed, Ashamed, Unclean, Stressed?
Those are the names that women with BV feel. If you have BV, especially the fishy vaginal odor, you feel worse than a second class woman.
Bacterial Vaginosis is not an actual infection. What bacterial vaginosis denotes is an actual changing condition within the vagina. Bacterial vaginosis is by far the most common vaginal condition affecting almost twenty percent of all women of reproductive age. Bacterial vaginosis is thought to be an overgrowth of bad bacteria normally found in the vaginal canal.
Since other infections, more commonly, yeast infection can have some of the same symptoms, often times women mistakenly are treating themselves for a yeast infection, when in fact, they should be using bacterial vaginosis treatments.
Causes
Bacterial Vaginosis will occur when the balance of organisms in your vagina are out of balance and the anaerobic bacterial and Gardnerella overgrow and multiply to an unhealthy state.
Symptoms
As many as fifty percent of all women diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis will show absolutely no symptoms. Many women don't have a clue that they may have bacterial vaginosis because many of the symptoms listed below never occur:
- * Strong, foul smelling fishy or musty odor
- * Milky white to gray discharge
- * Odor worse around menstruation
- * Possibly itching and burning around the vaginal area (less likely symptom)
Possible complications of Bacterial Vaginosis
If bacterial vaginosis is left untreated, complications may occur, such as, infertility and even a potentially serious condition known as Pelvic Inflammatory disease. If at some time in your life you would like to have children, it is best not to let this condition go unchecked.
A very disturbing fact obout bacterial vaginosis is that many times after bacterial vaginosis treatment with antibiotics the symptoms will return. As much as thirty percent of women will have a recurrence within six months. Sometimes, bacterial vaginosis can clear up by itself without bacterial vaginosis treatment.
Bacterial vaginosis treatment is especially important for pregnant women, as well as those wanting to have children. Bacterial vaginosis treatments is generally treatable with antibiotics, but as mentioned earlier, but antibiotics will also kill the good bacteria and many women will develop bacterial vaginosis even after bacterial vaginosis treatment again due to this.
