However, you sit up in your bed to do a morning stretch to help you awaken, but you find your back and your neck ache. They're tight. They're sore. It's painful. "Why," you wonder.
The answer is because you may be suffering from bad back sleeping and are not taking care of your body while you sleep the night away.

How Do You Sleep At Night?
First you need to be aware of how you sleep at night. Do you sleep on your stomach, on your side, or on your back?
Chances are if you are waking up in the morning and your back is sore, you are sleeping on your stomach.
Sleeping on your stomach twists the neck, distorts the pelvis, and results in excessive strain on the joints, muscles, and nerves of your lower back and neck.
For many people, sleeping on a body's side, with knees partially flexed to reduce pull on the lower muscles of the spine, is preferred.
Sleeping on a side also helps lessen gastro esophageal reflux and snoring won't likely be as loud.
