No Smoking Allowed
Smoking contributes greatly to bad breath. The easiest way to get rid of the bad oral hygiene is to quit smoking altogether. The main reason for bad breath when smoking is found to be caused by the chemicals in cigarettes. These are then transported into your mouth, where they build up. Tar and nicotine easily begin to build up on the mouth surfaces. They can stick to places like the teeth, gum, tongue and side of the cheeks. This causes smoker's bad breath to develop.Bacteria forms in your mouth from the chemicals. When they stay on your mouth's surface, it allows the bacteria to stick to certain places, giving them a place to live.
Smoking also dries out your mouth which is another reason for bad breath. It stops the saliva from flowing freely and cleansing out your mouth. This is what causes the growth of certain types of bacteria in your mouth, which then will lead to a continuous odor on your breath. Because the saliva is not able to move as freely, it can't clean out the bacteria that move through your mouth.

Reducing Bacteria in Your Mouth That Cause Bad Breath
What You Need to Do
There are tons of bacteria that resides in the back of the mouth. The mouth is a very moist and warm area and the perfect place for bacteria to develop. If you don't brush and floss regularly (preferably daily) food particles will stay in your mouth, which stimulates the bacteria to grow between your teeth and on your tongue. Although you can never totally get rid of bacteria in your mouth, you can reduce it tremendously by brushing regularly and flossing daily, seeing your dentist and dental hygienist twice a year for a thorough cleaning and check-up, and by reducing the number of times each day that you eat fermentable carbohydrates (chemical changed carbohydrates into alcohols or acids) or drink sugary drinks.Click here to learn the proper ways for reducing bacteria in your mouth.
