How To Prevent Bad Breath
- Practice Good Oral Hygiene
Brush your teeth at least twice a day or every time after food to remove the plague. Flossing your teeth daily can help to remove the food debris stuck in between your teeth where a tooth brush can't reach. Change a new tooth brush every 2 months.
- See a dentist every half yearly
Visit the dentist for a regular check up is the best way to check on any gum diseases or tooth problems like decayed tooth or dry mouth which may cause bad breath.
- Avoid smoking
Smoking can stain your teeth and also cause bad breath. Smoking can dry your mouth which generally can leave a bad breath behind.
- Brushing your tongue
Tongue brushing is also necessary because it will remove the bacteria or food particles that causes bad breath. Special tongue scrapers can be used in this case.
- Drink more water
Drinking more water will keep your mouth moist which will stimulate the production of saliva that will help to wash away the food particles and bacteria.
