Have you ever wondered why exactly there are so many Year 7's walkin around with massive bags strapped to their backs? Here's what i came up with

BAGS!!!

Why is it that Year 7's carry around such incredibly massive bags? I mean if you can scale down in year 10 when you supposedly have more work than in year 7 then why are their bags so big?

One excuse might be that they're extremely worried about starving so they bring in huge oversized lunch boxes. I suppose in comparison to primary schools the high schools are large, daunting places. But surely not that big that one could get lost for days and so the extra food could come in handy. Perhaps they take it in turn bringing the others in their year food. This works however it doesn't explain how every single one has a full bag everyday. Maybe lunch is made on a Sunday evening and meant to last for the week and so large compartmented boxes are need to store food supplies.

These year 7's could be concerned about teachers and forgetting their books. So they cram not only all their school books but any intelligent looking books that might be lying around at home. The set back is that these books either belong to parents or siblings at a higher educational level, meaning the year 7 wouldn't understand the material or even find it useful for their own lessons. More concerning though would be taking younger sibling's reading material or colouring in books. This however is not meant to undermine the all important skill of colouring to A level Biology. This skill is widely used to create good yet utterly pointless posters.

The fear of other students may play other role in the choosing of the bag. All year 7's are small creatures%u2026no debate. So as a form of protection they tend to band together to stand against the older students. But if caught alone perhaps these terrified youths climb in to the bags, imitating the snail or tortoise. The unsuspecting senior will never go rummaging through the bag as it is most likely a power ranger or Ben 10 themed bag with light reflectors and therefore contains nothing of any use to them. The quivering youth is then safe, curled inside the bag looking through the periscope, checking that the older predator is safely gone before emerging again.

The bag itself maybe a portable fridge in which the Year 7's keep their pet penguins who couldn't possibly have stayed at home that day because the polar bears have started to play up due to lack of space in your room. The Year 7 tries to avoid the inevitable blood shed or party that may occur while they are sat in lessons at school. It's in the best interest of everyone if the penguins to come with you for the day.
