Hello!
Bagua is an internal martial arts style from China, combining kung fu with the ancient philosophy of yin and yang, and the hexagrams of the kind you would find in the I Ching / Yi King. An internal, or soft martial art is one which is based primarily on the use of internal chi energy rather than just muscular strength.
Like Tai Chi and Xing Yi Quan Bagua Zhang also has great health benefits and aspects of spiritual cultivation as well as just being a method of self-defense.
The Bagua style is well known for its deft footwork developed through the practice of 'circle walking' where you move in a circle around an imaginary hexagram whilst switching between stances. Stances are very important in Bagua schools and a great deal of time is often spent in static stance training

Internal Martial Arts According to Wikipedia
The term "nèiji?" usually refers to Wudangquan or the internal styles of Chinese martial arts, which Sun Lutang identified in the 1920s as T'ai Chi Ch'uan, Xíngyìquán and B?guàzh?ng. This classifies most other martial arts as "wàiji?" (lit. "external/outside sect"). Some other Chinese arts, such as Liuhebafa, Bak Mei Pai, Bok Foo Pai and Yiquan are frequently classified (or classify themselves) as internal or having internal qualities (aka External/Internal styles). These secondary neijia may be related to, or derived from, the primary arts.
