Enhance Your Trips Abroad
by Rod Tilton

One of my great passions is traveling as much as time and the old bank account will allow. Whether you travel alone or with others, there are certain tips that can really help. Here are a few.

1. Preserving Travel Experiences - Digital cameras are nice and all, but you need a long term memento from your trip. When it comes to preserving travel experiences, take a writing journal. Nomad Journals are the best around.

2. Stupid Foreigner Tricks - Locals sometimes like to have a joke at your expense. It usually has to do with food. Don't eat strange stuff unless others are.

3. Packing for Europe - If you are packing for Europe, pack light! Europe is not another planet. They have soap, books, clothes and so on. You can buy it there. Trust me!

4. Montezumas Revenge - If you get diarrhea in a country, you need to focus on keeping hydrated. Try drinking one glass of carbonated water with a table spoon of sugar.

5. Backpacking in Russia - Russia is a tremendous country to backpack. That being said, pick pockets abound in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Don't wear the pack on your back. They will slice it and take off with the contents.

6. Wrinkle Free Pants - Always take a pair of wrinkle free pants. You can roll them up to save space. You will need them to enter churches, museums and other places.

7. Yelling at Thais - Thailand is the land of smiles, but it doesn't mean everyone is happy. Culturally, raising your voice is a very bad move. Never yell at Thais. It will not help, but will hurt you.

8. Air Courier Flights - Yes, they really exist. You can fly for next to nothing to some exotic location. You can only take one bag and usually have to return in 7 days. The shorter the notice you need, the cheaper the flights.

9. Seeing Europe with Children - If you are traveling to Europe and are taking kids, hotels and hostels can be a pain. Try renting a villa and exploring the area around it. They are much cheaper than you think.

10. Keep Kids Interested - Kids get bored when traveling from one destination to another. Video games are annoying to those around you, so try something else to keep them interested. A Nomad Travel Journal is a great idea.

Travel is many things to many people. Some prefer luxury while others prefer to rough it. I have to admit I tend to fall in the rough it group, but a night of luxury isn't too bad either!

Bahamas All Inclusive Vacation FAQs

What do I get for my money at all-inclusive resorts?

Your Bahamas vacation all inclusive price would include your room, at
least three meals a day, land and/or water-based activities and gratuities.
The inclusion in the total vacation cost of alcoholic beverages, tours,
entertainment, excursions, or more expensive activities such as scuba
diving, varies by resort.

What will I be able to do at the resort?

That depends on each resort, but all-inclusive resorts have a wide array
of activities. You may wish to relax on the beach or by the pool, sign up
for scuba lessons, play a game of tennis or a round of golf, or get a
massage. If a particular activity is very important to you, be sure to read
the fine print at the resort of your choice.

Is airfare included in an all-inclusive vacation price?

You can usually  price a resort with or without air, in case
you want to use frequent flier miles. The air/resort price includes
connecting airfare, transfers between the airport and the resort and baggage
handling. In some instances -- especially at the very last minute -- the
resort-only price may be all that is available.

Do I need a passport?

You will definitely need proof of citizenship--all resorts now require
it. Whether you will need a passport depends on your nationality and the
country and resort you will visit. For U.S. and Canadian citizens, a
certified copy of your birth certificate and government-issued photo I.D.
may be sufficient for some resorts and for some country's airport customs.
For guests of all other nationalities, a passport is required. Visas may
also be required for all guests visiting the more exotic all-inclusive
resorts.

Is a Bahamas all-inclusive vacation suitable for families
with children?

They're perfect! Many resorts are now designed specifically for families,
with kids-only facilities, counselors, daytime activities and baby-sitting.
Children of all ages are welcome at most resorts.

Do I have to tip at an all-inclusive resort?

Tipping is generally not required at all-inclusive resorts because it is
included in the total cost of the vacation, and some properties even forbid
it! Employees associated with activities, sports or excursions that are not
included in your all-inclusive package, such as baggage personnel, tour
guides, golf caddies, etc., are customarily tipped.

Travel Insurance

An illness, accident or unexpected situation can arise before or during
your Bahamas all-inclusive vacation, causing it to be cut short or to be
canceled entirely. Unfortunately, most resorts impose penalties for
canceling a vacation, up to and including loss of all money paid.

Because most vacations are a significant investment, it is recommended
that you purchase some form of travel insurance to protect yourself from
financial loss in the event of an emergency.

Holidays On Cruise, Makes Memories
by Peter Wilson

Every year many people will make the choice to take a summer vacation. There are many that will go on a great summer trip but there are so many that never go on a great vacation. Who are you and what do you want from life?

There are so many reasons why you should be able to take a great family vacation. One of the best issues about a vacation is the cost. Many people will accidentally believe that a vacation has to be this huge and costly trip. It makes no difference where you go and what you do as long as you are all together and having fun. Going to an amusement park and having a good, time is a great way to spend time with the family.

One great think about planning your vacation is that you can spend some great time with your family. Many families do not get to spend enough time together. Many are not able to because of the time issue. Working long hours, doing homework and schedules that are non-stop are going to interfere with the family life. In some instances, a summer vacation is the only way that a family can spend time together and have fun.

Finding time to relax in the summer is going to be special with your family. Children must be with their family in order to function right. Many children that are in school are going to be overwhelmed with huge schedules and homework all the time. This is going to make it hard to spend time together with the family. This can be hard on a child. Many will want to take the rest that they are going to deserve with their family.

If you are thinking about a great summer vacation, you will want to think about where you can all go together to have fun. Finding the right place is going to be fun. You may feel important if you are picking the right type of vacation together and asking everyone in the family for their thoughts. This is going to make the trip better for all.

There are going to be many activities when you are picking a summer vacation. Think about something that everyone is going to like. Do not sit around the house all this summer. Get out there and enjoy life with your special family.
