Another idea would be to purchase the canvas aprons listed below that the party guests can decorate with paints. These high quality aprons are natural in color and measure 18" x 14'. The children can decorate their own personal aprons when they first arrive at the party and then they can use their apron during the baking activities.

Cupcake Baking & Decorating Party Activity

One activity for your baking party bash could include making and decorating cupcakes. There are many cupcake decorating kits on the market that you could use for your birthday party.

Another idea would be to make a large batch of batter using a boxed mix or your favorite recipe. Have the party guests help you prepare the batter by measuring and adding in the ingredients and mixing. Then they could take turns filling the cupcake pans with the prepared batter. Once the cupcakes are baked and cooled, it is time to start decorating!

Place a large assortment of cupcake toppings into bowls including candies and sprinkles. Prepare colorful frosting and have that out on the table as well. Making and decorating sugar cookies is another wonderful activity for your baking birthday party.

You could use pre-packaged cookie dough or make your own sugar cookie dough. Give each child a ball of dough and they can roll it out and make cookies using a variety of cookie cutters.

Once the cookies are finished and cooled, they can decorate their cookies using icing, candies, edible writers and more!

The party guests could also create a Giant Cookie using the Wilton Giant Cookie pan. They could all decorate it together and the finished cookie can be used as the guest of honor's birthday cake!
