Chakras: What You Need To Know

This is said to be our energy center. They are the openings for life energy to flow in and out of our aura.
This energy is associated with our physical, mental and emotional interactions.

Feeding Your Root Chakra
Root vegetables: carrots, potatoes, parsnips, radishes, beets, onions, garlic, etc. Protein-rich foods: eggs, meats, beans, tofu, soy products, peanut butter. Spices: horseradish, hot paprika, chives, cayenne, pepper

Feeding Your Sacral Center
Sweet fruits: melons, mangos, strawberries, passion fruit, oranges, coconut, etc. Honey Nuts: almonds, walnuts, etc. Spices: cinnamon, vanilla, carob, sweet paprika, sesame seeds, caraway seeds

Feeding Your Solar Plexus Chakra
Granola and Grains: pastas, breads, cereal, rices, flax seed, sunflower seeds, etc. Dairy: milk, cheeses, yogurt . Spices: ginger, mints (peppermint, spearmint, etc.), melissa, chamomile, turmeric, cumin, fennel

Feeding Your Heart Chakra
Leafy vegetables: spinach, kale, dandelion greens, etc.
Air vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, celery, squash, etc. Liquids: green teas
Spices: basil, sage, thyme, cilantro, parsley

Feeding Your Throat Chakra
Liquids in general: water, fruit juices, herbal teas
Tart or tangy fruits: lemons, limes, grapefruit, kiwi
Other tree growing fruits: apples, pears, plums, peaches, apricots, etc.
Spices: salt, lemon grass

Feeding Your Third Eye Chakra
Dark bluish colored fruits: blueberries, red grapes, black berries, raspberries, etc.
Liquids: red wines and grape juice
Spices: lavender, poppy seed, mugwort

Feeding Your Crown Chakra
Air: fasting / detoxing
Incense and Smudging Herbs: sage, copal, myrrh, frankincense, and juniper
Incense and smudging herbs are not to be eaten but are ritually inhaled through the nostrils or can be smoked through a ceremony pipe for purification purposes.

Keeping your Chakras aligned is important in your body functioning on an energetic level. When you have one or more out of balance, the other Chakras are working overtime and that is not good. Has your body ever felt tight or cluttered?

Sitting or laying down, inhale 3 times through your nose, release through your mouth. Picture white light (of God or the Uninverse) swirling around you in a counter clock wise motion. See the light start at your feet, going to the top of your head.

Next you will use the 7 colors associated with each Chakra as explained in the 7 areas of Chakras above.

Above your head, picture a purple light swirling around in a counter clockwise motion, then clock wise. If it feels 'stuck' keeping trying...picture the light moving from your head down to your toes and then back up again.
Next colors to use are:
indigo
light blue
pink or green
yellow
orange
red

At first, you may have trouble seeing the moving light, don't give up. This just means you are out of balance. This meditation should begin to bring in healing colors and light into your spiritual being to help you to cope and deal with different aspects of your life in a more meaningful way.
