Balancing Touch's FOOT CHART

Hello there and welcome! My name is Adam Thomas and I am going to introduce you to Balancing Touch's FOOT CHART, a reflexology foot chart created by me in Vancouver B.C. Canada.

This page is going to Explore this Reflexology Chart that was created for the main purpose of bringing ease and understanding to the science of Reflexology even with people who do not understand Reflexology.

Released in 2010 This Reflexology Foot Chart is so clear and simple to understand that by the end of this page you will have a greater understanding of the FOOT - BODY connection.

HARD vs EASY in understanding Reflexology

There is always a more efficient way to understanding

Reflexology can be confusingWhen I first starting out on the path as a reflexologist back in January of 2001, I was rather frustrated with understanding just how the human body fits on the feet. I found I was spending way too much time trying to memorize all those Reflexology points. One of the issues since I am a very visual person was in Reflexology Charts.

Most Reflexology charts that are available, have a photograph of someones foot and then outlines of the Reflexology points or areas are drawn on this foot with a line to label the name of the Reflex which correlates to the body's anatomy. I feel these Charts are functional to a Reflexologist having a good working knowledge of the Foot-body connection. But ... What about the person who is learning Reflexology or the average person who has no clue about Reflexology? To them Reflexology charts must seem like just a bunch of random lines drawn on a foot, it may even seem a bit esoteric and perhaps mystical. Why not make it more visual and simple to understand?

This brought me to the creation of Balancing Touch's FOOT CHART that is easy for everyone to understand and it excels the learning process so that more emphasis is put on Reflexology technique, knowledge and understanding of this amazing biological vehicle we call the human body.

Plain and simple Reflexology

Point 1 - Balancing Touch's FOOT CHART

The human body is included to make it easier to understandI believe everyone has a basic concept of what the human body looks like under the skin, so have made it super simple for everyone by including the human body in the chart.

This Chart is split right down the middle with the Right Foot side (Male) and the Left foot side (female) this is important because some organs in the human body are only on one side of the body. For Example, the Stomach is on the Left side of the body where as the Liver is found on the right side of the body so you will find the stomach reflex on the left foot and the Liver Reflex found on the Right foot. The Reflexes or Organs are all colour coordinated, if we look back at the Stomach you will notice it a purple colour where the liver is pink.

Colour used in this Chart makes it easy to pinpoint the different areas.

The Landmarks in Reflexology

Point 2 - Balancing Touch's FOOT CHART

the colored landmarks in reflexologyThe landmarks are displayed in the color of the rainbow for ease of seeing the different body and foot divisions. If you look at the picture you will see the human body in the middle and the colored areas shift according to the feet in relation to each area, this is how it is transferred from the body to the feet.

For example, The Red zone relates to the area from your hips down so one to foot it is related to the heel area. These colors scan the body all the way up to purple which has to do with the head area.

Male & Female Reflexology

Point 3 - Balancing Touch's FOOT CHART

male and female reflexologyThis chart displays both Male and Female reproductive Organs. The Right Foot side of the Chart shows the Male and The Left foot side shows the Female Sexual organs. This does not mean that the Reproductive Organs for a male are only on the Right foot, they are on both feet. I wanted to be able to display both Male and Female aspects on the same chart without having to make more drawings adding more confusion.

Evironmently councious printing

Point 5 - Balancing Touch's FOOT CHART

This reflexology chart is printed greenWell we needed to print the chart and we wanted to do something a little different, Let's print it GREEN. We had to compromise on a couple of enisiale wants but we have made is durable and beautiful.

We Printed is on a product called Tyvek, which is being used on houses and more popular FedEx envelops. Tyvek is a plastic fibrous material that you can not rip and since it is a plastic and it gets wet ... no problem, just wipe it off. See we wanted to be printed on 100% post-consumer products but the quality was not up to our standards so that was out and then you had to laminate it anyway.

Giant, Large and Medium Charts are Printed on Tyvex (a very durable product that does not rip so, no need for laminating) using Chlorine Free process and printed using a printer that uses non-toxic toner pearls, that has no toxic wastage.

Small Charts are printed on 100Lb, 100% post consumer products, using non toxic inks.

How can I get my hands on this CHART???

BT's Reflexology Charts #2 (VIDEO)

by Adam Thomas

Adam C.O. Thomas talks about his creation Balancing Touch's Reflexology FOOT CHART. He covers 4 main points about what he thought was important in creating the Reflexology Chart. First point was to make it as easy to understand as possible, second point wanted it to look professional, third point was to print using the most environmentally friendly technologies as possible and last point to do all the previous points and still make it affordable.

I think reflexology maps and reflexology charts are always helpful in describing more about the reflex points on the body. Hand charts and foot charts are the most common ones.
A very detailed information is given about the reflexology charts and diagrams on

One of the most valid and truly interesting studies on the effects of reflexology was carried out by the Oregon Research Institute and published in 2005 in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. The study demonstrated that cobblestone-mat walking significantly improved the health of older physically-inactive adults (between 60 and 92 years of age) over 16 weeks. This was measured by various physical performance tests, balance tests, and blood pressure changes. For references check reflexology courses.
