Use Bamboo for that Tropical Look - Shoot, You Can Eat It, Too!
I hadn't really paid much attention to or was even much aware of the existence of bamboo while my family and I lived in New Mexico. But after our family moved to the Western Pacific island of Guam, I started noticing these majestic and interesting members of the grass family of plants all around the island. We had a large stand of these amazing plants right behind our home on the south end of the island. Sometimes I thought that I could hear it growing at night. Whatever, I definitely could see that it grows fast!
I came to enjoy the beauty of bamboo plants--and even enjoyed eating bamboo shoots at our local Chinese restaurants!
This Squidoo lens provides you with more information about these amazing plants.

- Very interesting lens. I love bamboo. My daughter and I would like to plant it around the backyard pool, but I don't think it would survive in Ohio. We are planning to surround it with a bamboo fence though, if summer ever comes.
