There's a Lot More Banana Fun than Just Fruit Salad!
I guess we could have called this page top 10 things to do when you are bored, or things clever people do, or top banana fun with kids. After all, that is how it started out. My daughter and I needed something to do. We were bored, it was raining, we had a banana. Fun is usually in the plan at our house.
We started with a list of 10, but got a bit carried away.

#16 Do Some Banana Magic - Cut the Banana Into Pieces While the Peel Is Still On
written by Melissa

Find a ripe banana
Secretly stick a straight pin through the banana until you reach the other side of the peel.
Move the pin from side to side in the banana, keeping the top of the pin as still as possible so as not to make the hole bigger than necessary.
Before each cut, turn the banana slightly (so you don't see a row of holes going down a side when you are done), and stick the pin in another part.
Continue turning the banana and sticking in the pin and wiggling until you have the amount of slices you want inside the peel.
Now it's time to show others. When you peel the banana in front of an audience, it will "magically" fall into pieces.
Tip: Do the trick as soon as possible after preparing the banana or the holes will become brown and obvious.
