Bananagrams, Faster than Lightening, well Faster than Scrabble!

My New Favorite Game
I have always loved board games, especially Scrabble. But Scrabble always had one drawback; it was too slow. Now I can form words fast and competitively, while other players are straining every nerve to beat me. My wife and I actually spotted this game at Toy Fair in 2007. I set my weary rear end on a chair and played for 15 minutes and knew that this game was the best thing I had seen all year. So we got it for our toy store, and it is available through our store on-line at www.toycrossing.com/bananagrams/. I recently made a up a video on how it is played...
How to Play Bananagrams
High Speed Scrabble
You'll see what I mean when I say that the game is high-speed. Actually, I have played it with eight people and it only took about 10 minutes. What is great about it is that you can even play it solitaire.
Great Social Game!
When You Just Want to Whip Up on Your Friends:
Truthfully, when people play this game, all you hear are clicking tiles. There isn't much conversation until someone yells out, "Bananas!" This means the person has used up all his (usually his when I am playing) or her letters.
But after the game everyone likes to show off their words. It is a real coup de main to use a tricky or complex word and still win the game.
I frequently get this game out to play solitaire at home and will have all the kids and the wife gather round to "help" me. Before you know it we jump into a new came of Bananagrams.
I explain the rules of Bananagrams pretty thoroughly on my wife's Toy Crossing website.
As I did in the Bananagram video, I used some speeded up footage for a little vid I did of my daughter clearing up the table, set to Vivaldi.
