Three Girls Before Their Time
I think that Bananarama started my interest in female preformers and come to think of it, on my Ipod, I think that it's about a 50/50 split.
Music from the 70s has the habit of sounding like music from the 70s. The music of Bananarama simply refused to age. It's fun to listen to as well as taking you back to a time when life was carefree and timeless!

lol... well, the name's the same. I wonder if they know about them?
5 Things I Didn't Know About This Band
1. They were at the height of their career from 1982 to 1989 which couldn't have been better for me. In 1982 I had a 3 year old and a one year old. I listened to Bananarama A LOT!
2. Do you remember "Do They Know It's Christmas?", performed at Band-Aid in 1984?? Bananarama was one of the few female bands to take part.
3. As of 2002, Bananarama had sold 40 million albums worldwide. And, they were way before their time.
4. They haven't stopped touring although, all of the original members are not part of Bananarama any longer.
5. Sara and Keren did a fashion shoot for UK Hello! Lets hope that we see more of them. They definitely don't look the way they used to... which is not necessarily a good or bad thing. But they have lost a bit of the "bad girl" look that they had in the 80s. Now there is a lot more sophistication. Who knew??
