Resistance Band Exercise
Resistance Bands are durable strips of latex rubber, you can buy them separately or in a pack, they come in different colours which represent the different thickness and strength of the bands.
The colours usually are:
RED: Light
LightGREEN: Intermediate
IntermediateBLUE: Strong
StrongNAVY OR BLACK: Advanced
AdvancedThe advantage to Resistance bands are that you don't need space to store them, you could just fold them up and put them in your pocket!
You also don't need a lot of space to use them either, you can use them anywhere and anytime!
When you outgrow one band you just go onto the next colour band and so on, and when you've gone up through them all you can then double them up and start all over again, then after that you can even triple them and so on.
You can imitate almost any exercise you can do in the gym, from leg presses, chest presses, bicep curls, triceps extensions, squats to even the treadmill (just tie one end of the band to the door handle and tie the other end round your waist and off you go!)
I've got a lot of time for Resistance Bands, I've got a pack myself and find them indispensable, there just so inexpensive yet the variety of exercises you can do with them is huge!
