Banff and Lake Louise, Alberta are magical places, in the summer and in the winter!
In 2001, I went with a friend of mine and a tour group to Banff, Alberta, Canada for the first time. Our group stayed at the Banff Springs Fairmont hotel for a week while we toured the surrounding national park. I returned to Banff to celebrate my honeymoon a few years later with my lovely wife, to experience with her the romantic winter wonderland that the Canadian Rockies become each winter. We stayed first in the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel (which looks like it has sprung to life straight out of a pop-up fairytale book), before transferring to the Fairmont Banff Springs (also known as the Castle in the Rockies) for a few more days. The purpose of this lens is to show you what a lovely place this part of the world is at any time of year. Hopefully you will also get the chance to visit it some day!
