Yahoo! Answer 'Ban' Me and Put My Traffic Building to a Halt
Yahoo! Answer is a great tool to learn and share what you've learned with a community of like minded people online. It looks like a forum but actually it is NOT. One thing that really put Yahoo! Answer and a typical forum apart is the format - particularly in the way one need to structure their answer. The questions are similar to those you found at forum but the 'tone' of your answer MUST be different. I learned from others that Yahoo! Answer a way to build traffic and backlink and I believe it until my recent experience stop me dead in my track. So here's the story how I got banned from Yahoo! Answer...
What I See When I Log Into My Yahoo! Answer Account Shock Me!
...and I was taken by surprise to say the least...
It has been my routine to do a daily round up to the Yahoo! Answer everyday for the past few months. I read the questions in the category I'm interested in, I read how people answer it and if I can, I chip in my own thing when ever possible.
I do feel like I'm browsing my favorite forum inside there...
The question they asked sounds exactly like the question I see on many forums which I am a member of...
The answer given sounds like the answer in forum...
In short, the whole thing is 'forum-like'. So, like any other day, I click 'Answer' icon from the Yahoo.com main site and key in my 'user name' and 'password'. Once inside I click my favorite category to start my routine BUT...

...which was sent way too late I might add...
I still in 'trauma' from that little stunt move by Yahoo! Answer community. It was like cheap shots by your buddies while you're looking away from them. How could they? I was at my peak motivation to connect and share with like minded people. I really believe I've done nothing wrong but wait...
Who am I to judge that for myself, right?
My fate is totally depending on the mind and heart of the Yahoo! Answer community, guided by their Guidelines and Terms.
So with a heavy heart, half-smiled face, I open my Yahoo Mail Inbox to read the suspension notice (just like you see here)...

...after 497 total answer and 128 best answer, you've got to be kidding
Look to your right. That's what you get when you post good, quality answer in Yahoo! Answer which the Community thinks should be rewarded with extra points and a pat on the back...digitally...
And I got plenty of those...
Bu that's beside the point. What important is, I got many of this 'jumping, happy, joyful image' in my inbox from answering to different categories.
I got it from small business...
I got it from seo...
I got it from career...
Just to name a few. And this goes to prove that I KNOW WHAT IT TAKES to give a good, following the guidelines and Yahoo! Answer TOS adherence answer! I didn't do this yesterday after 2 hours of sleep...
Ask them you said?
I remember asking them to re-evaluate my answer which I believe 'honest to goodness' was given appropriately and guess what? It was 2 months ago and no answer what so ever until this day.
I guess it doesn't matter now since they've suspended my account, right?
But I take all these positively and if you have to know, LUCKILY Yahoo! Answer is not the only option for creating backlinks and getting traffic. There are tons of other free and practical ways.
So, I'm moving on (you can hear me say, "NEXT!")
