Greekgeek's Custom Squidoo Graphics For You

Squidoo provides several Free Squidoo Banners & Buttons to download for your lens. Since they don't have horizontal banners, I've made some new custom Squidoo graphics for fellow lensmasters.

It's not as simple as you'd think! I had to redraw the Squidoo Squid and the word "Squidoo" from scratch, as vector graphics, in order to resize and manipulate them. If you use them, I'd appreciate it if you favorite, lensroll, Tweet, or otherwise link to one of my lenses. You may use these graphics on lenses, blogs, and webpages, but please don't sell them!

The Squidoo logo is a trademark of Squidoo LLC. This lens is not endorsed by/affiliated with Squidoo LLC.

New 2012 Squidoo Banners / Buttons

Using new type-font Squidoo added in 2011

If you want to make a referral Squidoo signup link, log out of Squidoo, view one of your lenses, and right-click the "Create a Lens" button to copy your lensmaster referral code. If your visitor creates lenses that earn 15 dollars or more, you'll get $5. Don't stress too much about this, however -- I've had hundreds of referrals, and, sadly, none of them has ever earned me that referral bonus!

Or just link to your lensmaster profile or whichever lens you like.

To use the 2012 banners in the following section:
1. Choose which one you want from the gallery
2. Right-click the full-sized version of the button or banner to copy the image location.
3. On your Squidoo lens, insert that image by writing the following HTML code:

<a href="where you want the link to point to when someone clicks"><img src="URL you copied in step #2"></a>

Note: these three graphics are stored on Squidoo in a Photo Gallery Module, so you MAY hotlink them on Squidoo lenses and Squidoo-related blogs. Please don't sell them.

Squidoo Banners For Text Modules

These Are Exactly 590 Pixels Wide

Please do NOT hotlink these -- pasting the URLs of these directly into your lens. They are stored directly on my own website. I have to pay for bandwidth, and I pay $5 extra if I go over my limit! Instead, download these and upload the images to your own lenses.

Using Squidoo's Own Headers and Graphics

Forget My Graphics -- Use Squidoo's!

Squidoo lenses have graphics at the top of each lens, right? Well, they're stored on Squidoo. So if you know where to look, you can figure out the URLs and use them further down on the lens (please don't hotlink to them off-site).

The basic logo is pretty clever. As of 2010, the white type has a faint gray border, and the squid has a faint dark border, which helps it stand out on almost any background. With NO background at all, you get this:

Official Squidoo Banner Logo

<img src="http://the.squidoocdn.com/imgs/logos/logo2010.png" alt="Official Squidoo Banner Logo" >

On my Squidoo Themes and Color Codes lens, I showed how to take the header backgrounds and use them in Text Modules, Black Box modules, and other parts of a Squidoo lens. So if you use those codes for the paragraph, and put the Squidoo logo inside that paragraph as an image, you'll get something like this:

Official Squidoo Banner Logo

Code for this:
<p style="padding: 10px; color:white; background-color: #266806; background-image: url(http://the.squidoocdn.com/imgs/themes/new/green/header_bg.jpg); background-repeat: no-repeat;"> <img src="http://the.squidoocdn.com/imgs/logos/logo2010.png">

You could slap the logo onto any background color or background image you like.

Squidoo Buttons and Badges

Stay Tuned!

I need to make some basic, boring ones -- I get a little carried away with Photoshop sometimes. But here's a few starters. Note that beside these buttons, I have an entire lens of Squidoo Squid Graphics -- custom graphics of the Squidoo squid dressed up to represent various topics (Eduction, Money) and holidays.

Thanks for Visiting!

I wouldn't use them on just any lens, but Almira has some hilarious animated Squidoo banners, such as the one above, on her Free Squidoo Text Animations lens. Check it out! (Edit: If you're getting a "too many views" error message, this points up the fact that you shouldn't use graphics hosted on Photobucket. Upload them somewhere else.)

Also, please consider rating or favoriting this lens, if you find it useful!

Would love a button that says "My Squidoo", tried myself but can't get it to look as nice as yours! Your lenses are amazing!

http://www.squidoo.com/pages/buttons this link means this page shows error in page while we want to generate the squidoo button. Did you check it? If you request to squidoo, they can solve that error. Please tell them
